People En Español Celebrates '25 Most Influentiall Latinas;' Includes Lili Estefan, Demi Lovato, Gina Rodriguez & More
People en Español hosted a luncheon in Miami, Florida on Sept. 18 to honor and celebrate this year's "25 Most Influential Women."
The last couple of years, People En Español has picked 25 different women who embody what it means to be a successful and strong Latina. This year's honorees included a variety of familiar stars, as well as Latinas in various other fields.
According to a Business Wire press release, the event, hosted by television personality and ex-beauty queen Alejandra Espinoza, featured panels and workshops that centered around professional development, entrepreneurship, beauty and style tips. Presenters included Adamari Lopez, Pamela Silva Conde and Maria Marin.
"This year's list of the '25 Most Influential' recognizes leaders in entertainment, business, entrepreneurship and activism, who are helping to shape the future and inspire young women every day," said People en Español Editor-in-Chief Armando Correa.
On the list were familiar faces like journalist María Elena Salinas, actresses Gina Rodriguez, Angélica Vale, singers Demi Lovato, Laura Pausini, Ivy Queen and Leslie Grace, model Zuleyka Rivera, television personalities Lili Estefan, Galilea Montijo, Ana María Canseco, Daisy Fuentes, Colombian designer, Amelia Toro, social media star, Bethany Mota and "Today" host Natalie Morales and Cynthia López, who is Commissioner of The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment in New York City.
The day after the celebrity packed luncheon, the magazine hosted "Poderosas Live," which was an interactive live event catering to successful women and whose mission was to inspire and empower hundreds of young Latinas.
People En Español shared several photos from the event on Instagram, which included a full schedule of the event, images of the stars and videos, including one of Espinoza urging fans to come by and be part of the event.
