"Reign" star Toby Regbo and showrunner Laurie McCarthy have revealed new details about the upcoming Season 3, which begins Oct. 9.

Regbo recently posted a video answering questions about the upcoming season from Twitter followers.

"I can't tell you much, but I can tell you that we've shot a few scenes that are going to make you cry -- and they're really, really good," Regbo says in the video. "There's a dance in it. There's a dance that we filmed, and it's really lovely. It made everyone cry. You're going to cry."

Could the dance be between Queen Mary Stuart (Adelaide Kane) and Francis? The king and queen experienced relationship problems in Season 2, especially after she had an affair with Louis Condé (Sean Teale).

McCarthy told Entertainment Weekly in May that Mary's feelings for Condé were more about loyalty than love.

"I think she feels like she turned to him at a moment when she needed somebody. She did it as a way to not feel the feelings that she was having for Francis, which were so mixed with regret and remorse and pain of the experiences that she endured this year," McCarthy said. "So, I think that they've been drifting closer to each other for some time now."

Mary did reunite with her husband in the Season 2 finale, but Francis is still struggling with his illness, and the couple may not have much time together.

McCarthy then revealed to Entertainment Weekly last week that the show will continue to follow Mary's life in France, but it will also feature "sexually charged court intrigue" in England.

"When we get to the court of Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten), I was excited to play the more intimate personal stories for Elizabeth just like we did for Mary when we were first meeting her. But we meet Elizabeth a little bit later in her role, she's a little bit more sophisticated. She's a few years older than Mary, which allows for some sexually charged court intrigue," the executive producer said.

"Reign" Season 3 begins Friday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
