Mortal Kombat X: Patch Fixes Bugs and Character Issues
A patch for Mortal Kombat X addresses various bugs and fixes problems related specifically to the characters. The patch is available on PlayStation 4 and is coming soon for Xbox One and PC, IGN reports.
The patch fixes issues with characters moves and abilities to try to make it more realistic. Tanya and Reptile have received the most character fixes.
Reptile will no longer be able to use his 2-in-1 special cancel into Floating Ball. After Reptile uses his invisibility there will be a short cool-down time. Finally, the input priority of Floating Ball has been lowered.
Tanya receives all of her fixes for her Pyromancer variation. There was a bug that applied Dark Shroud and Devil's Dust damage to her throws and other miscellaneous damage. This bug has been fixed. The damage of these attacks has been scaled back to 10. These attacks will now use the correct lifetime value from hotfix data of seven seconds.
D'Vorah received a small tweak to the Poison Stack attack to make it land lower.
A bug that caused Ermac to get stuck in flight controls was fixed.
Predator's character had a bug that caused inaccurate damage from his Plasma Shot attack. There was also a bug that sometimes showed two Smart Discs on the screen at the same time.
Jax's Carl Weather skin was receiving different damage than the other skins for Jax. This was adjusted in the patch so that all of the skins would sustain the same damage.
Other characters received fixes to their attacks and abilities. Mortal Kombat X's developers NetherRealm Studios wants the game to be as realistic as possible and is addressing these bugs as they arise.
The full list of fixes addressed in this patch can be found on the WB Games website.
Mortal Kombat X plans to release several new characters through downloadable content (DLC) in the first half of 2016. These additional characters will be playable in the game to all players.
