It may seem too soon after Google launched their Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update, but now, they are bound to release another latest on their system, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The new OS update will launch at the same time Google introduces their Nexus brands, which is presumably next week.

According to a report from Phone Arena, tech giant Samsung has also geared up for the upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS by offering their Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5. These latest devices from the Samsung lineup may be integrated with the latest OS update from Android.

Depending on how the handsets will require the new OS, some of the devices in the lineup may not get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But for now, they are all qualified to get the latest from Android system. Also mentioned is Samsung's Galaxy Note 4, which will eventually take on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been dubbed as the concrete completion of the previous Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which, according to Tech Times, is still being used by Samsung until now. While the Android 6.0 Marshmallow is a pending case of a new OS, Samsung seems to keep some of its handsets within the care of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 are the latest products from Samsung that still run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. Both gadgets were launched six months apart in 2014 but came out of the box with the Android 4.4 KitKat update.

According to PC Advisor, currently, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow (developer version) is being integrated into Google's Nexus line. However, its final update and release can be seen on Google's next flagship phones, the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 simultaneously.

If you wish to see how the Android 6.0 Marshmallow is faring in the said flagship phones, they will be introduced on Sept. 29. Pre-ordering will follow starting on Oct. 13 until November.

Consumers with older versions of Android phones may not be able to get the Android M update but can still get the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Previously, HTC skipped the Android lollipop in anticipation of the upcoming Android M. Apparently, HTC One M9 and HTC One M8 will get a hand of the latest Google Android OS. Consumers who currently have the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop can now expect to be updated to the latest Android M.
