Demi Lovato took to social media on Thursday to reveal that she has enlisted the help of actress Michelle Rodriguez and Mexican-American director Robert Rodriguez to film her upcoming music video for her single "Confident."

The singer posted an image on Instagram of a movie clapboard that featured her name and the song name, revealing Robert Rodriguez as the director of the music video.

Without giving fans a chance to process the news of Robert Rodriguez directing the video, Lovato revealed that there was another Rodriguez who would also be working with her on the video.

Lovato posted another picture that included Robert Rodriguez and "Furious 7" star Michelle Rodriguez with the caption, "So honored to be working with these two bad*sses: the legendary director @RODRIGUEZ and the legendary actress @MRODOFFICIAL!!"

Robert Rodriguez, who directs the TV series "From Dusk Till Dawn," which stars Lovato's boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, praised Lovato's talent.

"I was so impressed by Demi's fearless performance as a guest star on my TV series 'From Dusk Till Dawn' that I jumped at the chance to direct her video," Rodriguez said in a PR Newswire press release. "I basically treated this like we were shooting a high octane action film, because she has the presence and star power to pull it off. She's incredible."

The singer revealed what fans can expect to see in the video with a single tweet. The 23-year-old expressed how sore her body was after spending a day of filming, revealing possible scenes from the music video in the process.

Lovato's fifth studio album, titled "Confident," is expected to be released on Oct. 16.
