Not long after losing her puppy in a horrible accident, singer Demi Lovato is grieving once again with the loss of her great-grandfather, whose death she announced to her fans on Sept. 29 on Instagram.

The "Confident" singer shared a photo on Instagram of her great-grandfather with her dog Buddy, who passed in July, and expressed her sadness over the loss of her loved one.

"My two favorite Buddy's are now playing in Heaven. My heart is absolutely broken and I can't even begin to imagine a world without my Papa but I know one day we'll meet again and that's what keeps me going. I hate writing this... But RIP Papa... I miss you so much already. I love you. Please keep my Mimaw in your prayers," the singer wrote.

Back in July the 23-year-old shared a photo of her and her great-grandfather and not only shared her admiration for him. Lovato asked fans to pray for him and revealed that he was sick.

"I love this man more than you can imagine. My Mimaw and Papa mean EVERYTHING to me and more... Please keep them in your prayers.. Especially Papa.. He's not doing so well but at least I got to see him smile yesterday," she captioned the photo.

In August, Lovato shared a sweet photo of both her great-grandparents resting and holding hands. The singer explained that they have been married for half a century, reported People.

"How precious is this???" she captioned the image. "Mimaw (my 93 year old great-grandmother and Papa (my 88 year old great-grandfather) holding hands and still so in love.. It's so beautiful... Married over 50 years and he STILL looks at her this way.... I love them so much..."
