‘The Last Man on Earth’ Spoilers Season 2, Episode 2: Phil Loses Carol [Watch]
Fans of the super popular comedy show "The Last Man on Earth" got a happy and sad dose of the show's best storylines in the premiere episode. But in the second episode, the show takes on a more serious note with Phil and Carol.
Episode 2 is titled "The Boo" and will air on broadcast network Fox next Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9:30 p.m. EDT, according to TV Guide.
Apparently, the best of times can also be the worst of times and vice-versa. The Season 2 premiere of the show brought fans back to the post-apocalyptic comedy series with a brand new Phil Miller (Will Forte) and Carol (Kristen Schaal) as they had wandered the country together and enjoyed every moment of it.
It is was a big departure from how the series started with the two, with them being the most unlikely couple to arrange a marriage that seemed to be doomed.
Phil's initial ego and his lackluster methods of surviving in a dead world were the things that held his relationship back, but now all that has changed. According to Spoilers Guide, there will be some serious regret for Phil, who was last seen mourning the fact that he lost Carol at a gas station somewhere in Oklahoma and unable to find her.
Now that they had both reconciled and become the best of friends and even better lovers, the two had one little fight and that ended with them in separate parts of an RV traveling back to Tucson. But when she got out to wander around a gas station, Phil got back into the RV and took off, assuming Carol was in the back avoiding him.
Several miles, and states, down the road, he realizes that she is gone and they have no cell phones or walkie-talkies to communicate. He tries to find her but cannot remember what gas station they stopped at.
He even goes back to Tucson. But all he finds is the rest of their crew has abandoned the town, and his house burnt down.
