‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Spoilers Season 3 Episode 2: Leadership Change Challenges Jake and Amy [Watch]
After recently installed Captain Dozerman (Bill Hader) died of a heart attack in the comic season opener for Season 3 of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," fans were left wondering just exactly who on the show is safe. But with Hader's short guest appearance over, a new captain nonetheless takes charge in Episode 2.
The new episode, titled "The Funeral," will air on Fox this Sunday, Oct. 4 at 8:30 p.m. ET, according to TV Guide.
Following Dozerman's untimely demise in the last episode of "B99," another change of leadership comes to the precinct, and fans of the show know the new captain all to well, according to Spoilers Guide. Detective Pembroke (Dean Winters) will officially be taking over.
The fact that Dozerman died of a heart attack after he caught Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melissa Fumero) making out will also put a serious damper on their on-again, off-again relationship when the new boss takes over. Suffice it to say, Amy still has some of her original perfectionist values, and she is a bit scarred from what her romance did to Dozerman.
Meanwhile, Terry (Terry Crews) will become Holt's (Andre Braugher) go-to guy for help with an important public relations matter. That, of course, is a little out of character for Terry, who was last seen playing the role of pet to Wuntch (Kyra Sedgwick). But nevertheless, Terry is up to the challenge, helping Holt out of a jam and keeping him working until they can at least get him back to the precinct.
There is also the budding romance between Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) and a fellow officer played by guest star Archie Panjabi, which may or may not be quite mutual. Rosa (Stephanie) and Gina (Chelsea Peretti) step in on this issue and try to convince him that the venture is a bad idea. But of course, he has his mind made up and will see it through.
