Celebrity Homes: 'Blank Space' Singer Taylor Swift Drops $25M for Beverly Hills Estate?
"Blank Space" singer Taylor Swift is rumored to have purchased a posh Los Angeles real estate property.
Swift, the famous singer-songwriter who is known for "Shake It Off" and "Wildest Dreams," allegedly drops $25 million for a Beverly Hills Estate, informed Variety, citing some sources knowledgeable about the matter.
However, a report from People said that Swift denied this rumor via a Twitter post, including an upcoming wedding with her 31-year-old current boyfriend and DJ Calvin Harris in a castle in the U.K.
Although Swift did not get hold of the Los Angeles residence, she is still a proud owner of several properties like two houses in Nashville, a $4 million Beverly Hills estate, a 4,440-square-foot Massachusetts mansion and a $17 million castle-like abode in Rhode Island, Realtor.com noted.
The Goldwyn Estate
Still, even though Swift did not buy the California home, its features may actually get her interested.
In March, the heirs of the Polish American film producer Samuel Goldwyn, famed for "The Best Years of Our Lives" and "Wuthering Heights" and whose name "Goldwyn" stands for the "G" in "MGM," per Curbed LA, listed the California estate for a whopping $39 million, a separate article from Variety announced. The listing is handled by real estate agents Joyce Rey and Stacy Gottula of Coldwell Banker Previews International.
The gated 10,982-square-foot Beverly Hills property resting on 1.94 acres of Los Angeles land features six bedrooms and five bathrooms. According to the site, the dwelling place was constructed in the 1930s as a Georgian-inspired home, with its design commissioned to Southern California's renowned architect Douglas Honnold. Other living spaces within the expansive estate are a guest apartment that comes with two rooms. If Swift would buy the said mansion, she could let her close friends, including the famous celebrities in her popular and award-winning "Bad Blood" video, to stay for a couple of days.
Basing on the photos from the site, interior details of the home include a dramatic curving staircase, hardwood flooring, chic and elegant gold-colored accents, recessed lighting, intricate chandeliers and a bright ambiance courtesy of a predominantly white motif seen on walls and ceilings as well as light-filled areas. More images of the property are also available on another article of Curbed LA when the house was listed for the first time in 2008 for only $24 million.
Outdoors, the amenities are also music video-worthy with its scenic landscape seen in the sprawling grounds dotted with mature trees and gardens, a tennis court, a swimming pool and a pool house with a cooking area.
