Upon releasing the trailer for highly anticipated upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel has also unveiled short clips of its cast members introducing the individual character of the superhero team they play.

Unfortunately, fans did not get a chance to hear Rocket Racoon speak, since all they got was the CGI appearance of the tiny titan from the movie preview. However, the voice of Bradley Cooper, who director James Gunn describes as the "heart of the team," is revealed in the "Meet the Guardians of the Galaxy" character profile, below.

Groot's voice with his only line, "I am Groot," was also nowhere to be found in the trailer. Vin Diesel plays the role of the alien, who has been traveling as Rocket Racoon's "personal houseplant/muscle."

Dave Bautista plays Drax, one of the guardians who solely lives for revenge. As a WWE professional wrestler and World Heavyweight Champion, Bautista's alien role quite suits him.

Zoe Saldana takes yet another alien role after playing her character Neytiri in "Avatar." This time, she plays deadly assassin Gamora, one of Thanos' adopted daughters. Check out the fighting scene with her sister Nebula, played by Karen Gillan below.

Guardians of the Galaxy marks the first feature film for Chris Pratt to play the leading man. Pratt plays neither an alien nor a superhero -- Star Lord and Peter Quill, who depends on his brains and charisma to get out trouble.

Guardians of the Galaxy is set to hit theaters on Aug. 1, 2014.
