The companion show "Fear The Walking Dead" is getting its own companion show in the form a web series, which will premiere the same night as the finale.

According to Deadline, the companion webisodes will be titled "Flight 462" and will air in 16 different parts, each on a plane that is taking place during the rise of the zombie epidemic.

What's even more exciting is that two of those webisodes will air during the premiere of "The Walking Dead" on Oct. 11 on AMC.

The "zombies on a plane" theme is something that the prequel series is doing to introduce a new character for Season 2 of "FTWD," which was the summer's biggest breakout hit show.

The web series takes place during the same events of "Fear" and will be aboard a flight, presumably bound for LAX in Los Angeles.

The passengers on the plane will be exposed for first time to an infected person that will turn into a zombie. Keep in mind, this is in the earliest moments of the apocalypse, and the people aboard the plane have no idea how to stop a zombie at this point, which basically means the flight could end up with a cabin full of zombies before it lands.

Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV, had a few things to say about the upcoming web series.

"'Flight 462' is a great extension of the world of 'Fear' and will engage fans across multiple platforms with another riveting story set at the start of the fall of civilization," Stillerman said.

"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Dave Erickson and David Wiener on another piece of original content. Watching how they'll bring one of these new characters to the second season of 'Fear' will be really exciting for viewers to follow."

Season 2 of "Fear The Walking Dead" will then return next summer with 15 more episodes.
