'Finding Carter' Season 2 Spoilers: First Sneak Peek at New Characters Ben, Jared [Videos]
Fans of "Finding Carter" can get their first sneak peek of Carter's new brother and her new love interest in newly released exclusive clips from MTV.
The first clip features "Twilight" star Jackson Rathbone, who was cast in the recurring role of Jared, a bar owner who hires Carter (Kathryn Prescott) as a waitress and ends up falling for the high school student.
"[He's] a little bit more of a rugged dude that hasn't really been introduced to the show yet," Rathbone told MTV.
In the video Rathbone gives fans a look at Jared's bar and talks a little about his character. Fans also get to see the moment Jared and Carter meet and see when she inquires about a possible job.
The biggest issue with their relationship will obviously be their age gap. With Carter being only 18 and Jared being 25, there is sure to be a lot of drama.
"He's older, sexy, and he has great advice -- he is the guy who has done exactly what she's looking for: he's figured out who he is, and he owns this fantastic bar and it's such a joy for her to be there every day," executive producer Emily Whitesell told Hollywood Life. "She feels really free, like she's really growing up, and he's a big part of that."
MTV also released a clip of Carter and her new brother Ben (Ben Winchell) having a conversation in a car. Carter is questioning her brother about where he's been hiding this whole time.
The first time viewers got to see Ben was during the midseason finale when he revealed himself to be the secret child of Lori Stevens and David Wilson in court.
"Ben has had a little bit of a troubled past," Winchell told MTV. "He's been in and out of foster homes his whole life and we start to see maybe some people from his past coming back into his life which gets a little tricky."
