Memphis Grizzlies big man Marc Gasol has done a great job in getting out of Pau Gasol's shadow as he is probably the best center in the NBA right now. He was voted an All-Star starter last season and was named to the All-NBA First Team.

Still, the 30-year-old Spaniard keeps getting asked about his older brother and maintains a close friendship with him as they both are an integral part of the Spanish National Team, who just won the 2015 EuroBasket.

Marc was interviewed by Europa Press regarding his brother's free agency status next season as Pau can opt out on his current contract with the Chicago Bulls. The 35-year-old Gasol signed a three-year, $22 million deal with the Bulls in 2014 with a player option in the third year, per Yahoo! Sports.

"It's not impossible that one day we could play together. I think he has two more years in Chicago and I think it's difficult that he would leave the team, I wouldn't like it. But for us, and for Memphis to add someone like Pau, it would be unbelievable. We will try. Why not?," the younger Gasol said, as translated by HoopsHype.

There's a big chance that Pau will opt in on his contract as his age will be a factor in negotiating a new contract if he enters free agency. But with the quality of his play last season in the NBA, being voted an All-Star starter and named to the All-NBA Second Team, it looks like he has more left in the tank. Add the fact the he was named the 2015 EuroBasket MVP after averaging 25.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.3 blocks in nine games, per EuroBasket2015.org.

The two-time champion, however, faces a dilemma in his second season with the Bulls, as there is a considerable logjam at his position. He will compete with Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, rookie Bobby Portis, Nikola Mirotic and Doug McDermott for minutes, per Yahoo! Sports.

On the other side, Memphis still has Zach Randolph on contract through 2017, which is the same year Pau's deal with the Bulls will end if he opts in, as reported by CBS Sports. The older Gasol could wind up replacing ZBo, but that would be a long shot as Randolph played his best basketball with the Grizzlies and could finish up his career in Memphis.

According to the same report, another possibility is to have Pau and Randolph share minutes as they would be 37 and 36 years old, respectively, in 2017 and might reserve their bodies in time for the playoffs. The only question is, will one of the two like the possibility of coming off the bench? At this point, it is just Marc answering a question about his brother and all are just speculations.
