Nicole Kidman participated in a sizzling photo shoot with photographer Fabien Baron for the latest issue of Interview Magazine.

The 48-year-old Australian actress channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe for the magazine's October edition, which features Kidman modeling vintage-style lingerie with blond cascading curls, according to Us Weekly.

Some of the lingerie she models while posing in the black-and-white photos include lace balconette bras, plunging shirtdresses, ruffled hemlines, and cinched waists, which show off her toned physique.

The photographs portray Kidman in multiple scenarios, such as sucking on a piece of ice, leaning against a window frame, lying in a bathtub and even scrubbing the floor on her hands and knees.

In an interview with Lee Daniels, who directed her in 2012's "The Paperboy," she discussed how it felt returning to the theater in "Photograph 51." In the show, Kidman plays the role of English chemist Rosalind Franklin, who helped in the groundbreaking discovery of DNA.

"Terrified and exhilarated, because I've got to make this incredibly acerbic, prickly woman real and vulnerable," Kidman said. "It's a 95-minute play and I haven't done that for 17 years. It's a whole different ballgame."

The Oscar-winning actress and mother of four, who is married to country star Keith Urban, said it's difficult for her to separate her personal life from her work at times.

"We're taught to bring everything -- the state of being, the environment -- and use it," Kidman said. "If it's raining, or the other actor doesn't know his lines, everything has to be used. So your own emotional state comes into play, and I certainly remember that happening a lot on, say, 'The Hours,' when I was going through an enormous amount of turmoil. And even though it was appropriate at times for the character [Virginia Wolf], at other times it wasn't. But I would just bleed into it; it would manifest in different ways."

Kidman stars in the thriller "Secret in Their Eyes," alongside Julia Roberts and Chiwetel Ejiofor, which hits theaters on Nov. 20.
