Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans)

Based on the Yahoo Big Board, Davis is the consensus first overall pick this year and it is not a surprise because of the way the New Orleans Pelicans superstar racked up huge numbers last season.

Davis will instantly give your team an advantage on points, rebounds and blocks. The three-year veteran averaged 24.4 points and 10.2 rebounds on top of 2.9 blocks and 1.5 steals. Field goal will not be a problem as well because the former Kentucky standout shot 53.5 percent from the field and a decent 80.5 percent from the foul line last season.

If you have the first pick in your league, do not hesitate to use it for Davis. As the Big Board noted, fantasy owners could also get three pointers from him this season.

Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)

Stephen Curry is also a very good choice for the top pick. Like Davis, the Golden State Warriors will give fantasy owners consistent numbers night in and night out.

The reigning Most Valuable Player averaged 23.8 points on top of 7.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game last season. He also posted 2.0 steals last season. Fantasy owners will also have an advantage in three-pointers by drafting Curry after he knocked down 3.6 three-pointers on 44.3 percent last season.

James Harden (Houston Rockets)

James Harden is also a safe choice for your first pick this year after the Houston Rockets superstar became the only player to average at least 27 points, 7.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds last season. To be exact, the superstar guard posted 27.4 points on top of 7.0 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game last season.

Harden also shot 86.8 percent from the foul line and made 2.6 three-pointers last season. However, fantasy owners should also take note of his 4.0 turnovers per game last season.
