Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris Relationship News: Couple Take a Break From Heated Romance
Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are rumored to be taking "a break" in their once whirlwind romance.
Yahoo reports speculation about disarray in the couple's relationship started to surface about two weeks ago, when fans began to note how the normally openly affectionate pair have recently avoided all displays of closeness. Swift and Harris have not been pictured together since early August.
"The relationship went from zero to 60 in a matter of weeks, so it was perhaps inevitable that things might come crashing down," a source said. "Talk of them marrying freaked them both out, neither is ready and suddenly having all this speculation took its toll. Calvin has found the circus surrounding their relationship overwhelming."
The end result now appears to be that the two have, at least temporarily, hit the pause button on their relationship and may be waiting for things to cool off a bit.
Speculation is also rampant that the "Shake It Off" singer was less than thrilled when her boyfriend was recently photographed leaving a cheap Sunset Boulevard massage parlor. Reports are the DJ enjoyed at least two hours of service at the Thai spa at a cost of $40 per hour.
"Taylor was incandescent with rage when she saw the pictures and told him she wanted to break it off with him then and there," a source said. "She felt humiliated that her boyfriend had been caught at such a seedy place."
Word is Harris has also recently been voicing more than his share of complaints about some of Swift's habits, namely the way she spends so much time with her famous "squad" of gal pals.
A source recently shared that Harris is infuriated to no end that her friends always seem to be around whenever the couple hang out.
"They both now see what a mistake it was to become so intense and public so soon. It's a rough period right now, but everyone is hoping they pull through," the source added.
