Ronda Rousey Next Fight: 'Rowdy' Thinks Holly Holm Will Last Longer Than Previous Foes
UFC Women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has a busy schedule as her fight with Holly Holm is only about a month away.
She recently took a night off when she appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," stunning every man in the world by wearing a dress with see-through panels and a super plunging neckline.
Ronda was on the show to promote UFC 193, where she will defend her title against Holm in the main event to be held in the 70,000-seat Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia on Nov. 14. She discussed her opponent, who is a 19-time boxing champion, but according to Best Fight Odds, "Rowdy" is a 15/1 favorite to win the match.
"She's a nice chick. But she's a nice chick who's going to lose," Rousey told Fallon as quoted by MMA Junkie. The 28-year-old expects a longer match, different to her past three opponents, who she defeated in 130 seconds combined, per MMA Fighting.
"This one's going to be a much longer fight because she's a 19-time world boxing champion with 100 percent takedown defense and head-kick knockouts. She's undefeated and an amazing athlete, and definitely the biggest threat to me, especially on paper and stylistically," Ronda added.
According to her UFC profile, Holm's best attributes are her conditioning and kickboxing. She turned to MMA in 2011 and has a record of nine wins with no losses. "The Preacher's Daughter" has six wins by knockout and is the pound-for-pound best women's boxer in the world with a record of 33 wins, two losses and three draws with only nine wins by knockout.
Meanwhile, Holm is confident during an interview with "Inside MMA" and was even quoted saying, per MMA Mania, "Everybody's beatable. Is it going to be hard as heck? Absolutely. It's going to be the hardest fight of my career. I have to absolutely do everything right from the beginning to the end of the fight. Is it going to be easy? No, that is not what I'm saying. But I'm going in there to win and it's very possible."
As for Rousey, she also said to Fallon that she won't let Holm get what she wants. "She's the type of fighter you have to be very, very patient with. I feel like she's going to try to like keep distance and keep far away from me and get me frustrated until the point I make a mistake and she can try to kick me in the head, but it's not going to go like that. Not the way she wants."
