Jennifer Lawrence Golden Globes 2014 and Movies: Jared Leto Wonders If 'American Hustle' Actress Faked Her Oscars 2014 Fall
Oscar winner Jared Leto (yes, we live in a world where Jordan Catalano and David Wooderson have Oscars), has spoken his mind about what we've all been thinking: that unlikely "girl next door" Jennifer Lawrence is just putting one on when it comes to her "look at me, I'm so awkward just like you" act.
According to The San Jose Mercury News, Leto first started to get suspicious of Lawrence when she did a repeat of her "trip and fall" that made everyone go "awww" last year at this year's Oscars.
During an interview with Access Hollywood on Oscars night, Leto made the comment that all of us are thinking.
"You know, I'm beginning to wonder if it's all an act," he said.
He further questioned whether Lawrence was being sincere in her "awkwardness" when she got catty from the Oscars stage, snarling "What are you laughing at?" to Leto from the stage as she presented the Best Actor Award.
"What she didn't know was that Ellen was on the side ... making, pantomiming (motions like), 'Don't fall, don't fall,' and my mom and my brother are all cracking up. I guess we don't have any manners," he said.
According to Us Magazine, the first of Lawrence's falls came last year when she went to the stage to accept her Best Actress Award for her role in The Silver Linings Playbook. "You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell -- it's really embarrassing," she said at the time, as the audience gave her a standing ovation.
At age 22, Lawrence's performance in the David O. Russell-directed romantic comedy Silver Linings Playbook (2012) earned her several awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) and the Academy Award for Best Actress, making her the second-youngest Best Actress winner at the Oscars. For her supporting role in Russell's comedy-drama American Hustle (2013), she was awarded the Golden Globe Award, the BAFTA Award and received a third Academy Award nomination, all for Best Supporting Actress.
