New Kurt Cobain Songs Released [Watch, Listen]
Fans of the late Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain are about to be treated to something very special: posthumous releases of new songs that are sure to please.
According to Rolling Stone, there are two new tracks.
One of those tracks is a cover of The Beatles' hit song "And I Love Her." The song is a haunting rendition of the Fab Four's hit. Fans should be able to clearly identify Cobain's unique personal, emotional commitment deeply embedded within the cover track.
The other track is an original entitled "Sappy."
The release of tracks like these could not happen in any conventional way. Rather, they will come out on seven-inch vinyl, offering fans a nostalgic engagement with Cobain and his legacy.
Fan allegiance to the singer has never wavered since the front man took his own life back in 1994. The late singer still has a strong hold on listeners, both those who were teens during his prime era and teens today, allowing him to remain influential over audiences worldwide years after his death.
Brett Morgen recently released what many regard as the definitive documentary on the late musician, titled "Montage of Heck." Morgen obtained access to a treasure trove of Cobain's personal items, and he spent countless hours, days and weeks going through the material, which included unheard tracks the singer laid down by himself.
Those tracks were featured on the documentary, along with video footage of Cobain's life, mostly in his formative years before he was an international superstar.
Cobain's tragic story played out to a mass audience, much to his disdain, leading to his depression and his eventual suicide. Morgen managed to capture critical moments in the singer's life to help fans understand who Cobain was and the inspiration for his musical talent.
