Robert Downey Jr. may be getting a salary increase for the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity Wars films.

According to rumors out of New York’s Comic Con, the budget for the last two Avengers films will be $1 billion and around $400 million will be spent on paying the director, writer, producers and principal actors. However, Downey Jr. may be getting $200 million.

These are rumors but according to an article by Bleeding Cool, the salary will be that high for the actor who has already had issues with Disney over salary. Downey Jr. is one of the most expensive actors in Hollywood and in 2014, he topped the Forbes Magazine list of Hollywood's highest-paid actors, earning roughly $75 million that year. When he did the first Avengers film, his salary was reported to be $50 million and since then it has gone up.

Downey Jr. is an Academy Award-nominated actor who is best known for his work in “Chaplin,” “Zodiac,” “Iron Man,” “The Judge” and “Chef.” He has also starred in “Sherlock Holmes,” “Tropic Thunder” and “Due Date.” The actor is set to appear in “Pinocchio” and next year’s “Captain America: Civil War.”

“Avengers: Infinity War Parts I & II” will be released in 2018 and 2019 and will be focused on the Infinity Stones and Thanos, the villain the studio has slowly revealed in the end credit sequences of certain Marvel films including "Guardians of the Galaxy." Before the release of the two films, however, Marvel will take out a number of movies including “Doctor Strange,” “Black Panther,” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp.”

Marvel also has a new “Spider-Man” slated to be released and next year Marvel will release Captain America: Civil War in May 2016. The upcoming “Infinity Wars” is slated to showcase Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson alongside Downey Jr.
