The Evad3rs were able to circumvent Apple's security features in order to release the iOS 7 jailbreak in late December, but now the tech giant seems to be cracking down on this in the latest iOS 7.1 release.

According to reports, Apple patched over the jailbreak in the new iOS 7 release that finally arrived this week. @MuscleNerd is a member of the Evad3rs team and he sent out a warning tweet to all jailbreakers on Monday afternoon.

"Jailbreakers stay away from today's iOS 7.1!" he said. "Once you go up you can't downgrade again even with SHSH blobs (except i4)."

The new release from Apple is said to fix a variety of issues and also introduces new features to the operating system. Some of the fixes were exclusive to users of the newest iPhones, a sign that Apple really wants everyone to buy its newest technology as soon as possible. For example, the camera settings were enhanced to allow iPhone 5s users to automatically set their phones in an HDR setting. In addition, the Touch ID was also bolstered, according to reports.

As far as jailbreaking is concerned, today's news is not too surprising. Jailbreakers are famililar with the process of waiting longer to update; many people held off on getting iOS 7 just because they wanted to preserve their older jailbreak before the iOS 7 jailbreak release hit the market.

For everyone else, there were also several changes that applied to all iPhone users as well. Calendar improvements as well as fixes to iTunes Radio and Siri are among other areas that Apple worked on.

What do you think of the update? Will you be updating your device or will you hold off on it in order to hold onto your jailbreak that you already downloaded? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
