While two months remain until the release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," the early buzz on the film is reportedly very positive, giving fans reason for excitement.

According to Making Star Wars, which has been a reliable authority throughout the film's production, sources who have already seen the movie have given it thumbs up all around. However, there is no other confirmation that the film has been screened.

It is also possible that the movie is not completely finished. Director J.J. Abrams is apparently close to wrapping the editing process on the film. He will reportedly be completely finished by Thanksgiving, at which point preview and press screenings will officially begin.

"The Force Awakens" is among the most anticipated films of the year. Disney has already made sure to promote the film in many ways, including a Force Friday event, at which the company released new toys for the series installment.

The movie is expected to break box office records, especially since other studios have avoided any new releases for the same weekend, instead pushing their films to the week before or the weekend after.

The only other film that will be released on the same weekend is "Son Of Saul," which is Hungary's submission to the Oscar foreign film category and which caters to a very different audience.

Audiences are hoping that "The Force Awakens" scores good reviews and satisfies those who did not care for the prequels. Some are skeptical about Disney's decisions to continue the saga where it left off in "Episode VI," while younger audiences are excited to experience their first "Star Wars" film in theaters.

"The Force Awakens" is set to open on Dec. 18 and stars Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and John Boyega. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford will also return to their iconic roles in the series.
