Batman vs Superman Release Date, Cast & Plot Update: Leaked Batman Costume Photos - Real or Fake?
Newly leaked photos allegedly show Ben Affleck's Batman costume for 'Batman vs Superman' aka 'Man of Steel 2' but are the photos real or fake?
The first leaked photo for the Caped Crusader is an extra grainy black and white photo which shows Batman in ultra zoom. The black and white photo reportedly first surfaced on IMDb, says the Flickering Myth.
The photo shows a very Jim Lee-designed Batman costume, the Flickering Myth notes. The only problem is that the alleged Batman costume photo for the upcoming 'Batman vs Superman' movie looks like a "photo of a photo" and is much more likely to be a fan art than to be the real thing.
According to Forbes film blogger Mark Hughes on Twitter, the black and white photo allegedly posing as the 'Man of Steel 2' batsuit is a fake. "That black and white photo on IMDB is a fake, folks. Not the real batsuit, just a manip," he said on Twitter.
Another alleged photo of Affleck's Batman suit which has managed to surface online shows the Caped Crusader with four other people. The photo appears to be cropped and zoomed in. Surprisingly, the batsuit in the second photo looks quite similar to the one in the first black and white photo.
True or fake, leaks have plagued 'Batman vs Superman' from the start. The movie's announcement at Comic Con was reportedly compromised, with word regarding 'Man of Steel 2' leaked a few hours before the official announcement, says Huffington Post.
"The leak was definitely not a planned thing," Zack Snyder told the outlet.
Producer wife Deborah Snyder also remarked, "Things get leaked so often these days, it's a shame because even casing announcements, or whatever, you're in the middle of a process and sometimes they're so off base -- and then it gets picked up by multiple places and it's all over the place.
As for the recent batsuit leaks, Mark Hughes remarks, "Let your first exposure to the new batsuit & Wonder Woman be an epic moment w/high quality official images, the way it's intended to be."
"You don't have long to wait before the studio officially releases the images. Be patient, you'll be glad you waited!" the film blogger tweeted.
