Watch: Taylor Kinney Talks About Awkward First Kiss With Fiancee Lady Gaga
Taylor Kinney recently recalled his first meeting with Lady Gaga during a guest appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" on Wednesday. The "Chicago Fire" star talked about his awkward kiss with the singer that ended with a slap on his face.
In the video below, Kinney talks about how his first meeting with Lady Gaga went during the filming of her music video for "You and I." The 34-year-old recalls how he had surprised the singer with a kiss that he got slapped on the face instead.
"I remember I went up, and we're rolling, and I kissed her and she didn't expect it. They cut and she slapped me. And it was just awkward," he says.
However, the next kisses reportedly went smoothly. Kinney says that he kissed Lady Gaga again on the next take and this time he didn't get slapped on the face.
Kinney adds that he and the "Bad Romance" singer had a good time on the set of her music video even though it was already a late shoot. Filming reportedly ended "until 4 or 5 in the morning." The actor says that he noticed right away that he and Lady Gaga had good chemistry together. Eventually, the pair ended up exchanging numbers and that's how their relationship started.
"A few weeks went by and we kept in touch and then that's that," Kinney says when asked if he knew at that moment on the set of "You and I" that Lady Gaga was the one for him.
In the same interview with "Watch What Happens Live," Kinney also talked about wedding plans with the "Born This Way" singer. However, as far as specific wedding plans, the actor revealed he and Lady Gaga haven't really had the time to formally sit down and talk about it because of their busy schedules. They don't even have a wedding date set yet. But Kinney says in the video below that they have already discussed wedding venues, on whether they would have the ceremony in New York or Los Angeles.
Lady Gaga was also previously asked about her wedding plans during an interview with E! News following her performance for the 50th anniversary of "The Sound of Music" at the Oscars in February. However, the singer admitted there are no specific plans yet. For now she said she and Kinney are just so "excited to be engaged."
