The Los Angeles Dodgers, two Cy Young candidates, a potent lineup and their $310 million payroll were not enough to advance to the NLCS as they lost to the New York Mets in five games. They lost 3-2 in game five right at their home field. The team faces uncertainty coming into the offseason.

Even though they have the most expensive roster in the history of MLB, they can't get past the Division Series and are back to the drawing board. The New York Post notes that the Dodgers will face a decision involving three big names, starting pitcher Zack Greinke, outfielder Yasiel Puig and manager Don Mattingly.

According to CBS Sports, Greinke will opt out of the last three years of his contract and become a free agent again. He signed a six-year, $147 million contract in 2012 with the Dodgers, per MLB.com.

The New York Post added that the 32-year-old pitcher will get even more money than the $71 million remaining on his contract with Los Angeles because of his great season. Greinke could possibly win the 2015 Cy Young Award as he went 19-3 with a league-leading 1.66 ERA, per Baseball-Reference.com.

The Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees are teams that might be interested in signing Greinke, per CBS Sports.

Yasiel Puig was reportedly put on waivers after the 2015 trade deadline, but the Dodgers quickly revoked him back as reported by FOX Sports. He was also part of a few trade rumors before the trade deadline with the front office reportedly telling other teams that they were willing to listen to offers for the slugging outfielder, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today.

The New York Post notes that the Dodgers won't have a problem in trading Puig as he is set to make $19.5 million from 2016 to 2018, but he has lost a lot of value. He dealt with a lot of injuries this season and finished with only 11 home runs, but teams would be more worried about his attitude and weight issues.

As for manager Don Mattingly, he has led the Dodgers to their third straight NL West Division Title but came up very short again on their goal to win the World Series. According to the LA Times, he might become the fall guy for the team and may be packing at the end of the season.

However, he is reportedly still well-liked by the Dodgers organization as he is able to maintain a winning record despite a lot of locker room issues the past couple of years. If he will be released, CBS Sports reports that the Miami Marlins are interested in his services.
