The next episode of "Blue Bloods" will put Danny right back in the action, which he was mostly absent from in the last episode. He will help to track down two escaped convicts, but one of them was a man he helped wrongly imprison.

Although fans did not see much of Danny at all last week, which is fairly unusual for the series, this next episode going to be quite simply "The Danny Show" because it his own moral conscience on the line.

According to Spoilers Guide, tracking down prison escapees is not something that a normal NYPD cop would take part in, but Danny finds out that one of the two inmates who escaped prison was someone that he helped put away years ago.

Come to find out, Danny realizes the man he put away turned out to be innocent of the crimes, so Danny takes up the manhunt, if for nothing else, to make sure he is not killed when he is captured and taken back into custody.

But taking him back into custody is the next hurdle for Danny when he has to work in some way to find his freedom. This means going back over the case with fine-toothed comb and admitting to his mistakes, which could in turn call all of his cases into question and give other inmates a new shot an appeal.

The double-edged is something that Danny will have to contend with in the entire episode. He will have to pick the least damaging of two possible outcomes.

Fans will also get to see Gormley criticize NYPD sergeant Trey Delgado's plan. It is especially unique because he believes that Delgado is having an affair with his wife.

Episode 5 is titled "Backstabbers" and will air on broadcast network CBS this Friday, Oct. 23 at 10 p.m. EDT, according to TV Guide.
