Kanye West Surprises With Two New Remixes Released on SoundCloud
After surprising everyone with the news that he will run for presidency in 2020 and visiting American Idol judges for an audition, "Gold Digger" hit maker Kanye West has dropped another treat, and of course, it was to everyone's surprise yet again.
As reported by Rolling Stone, West reportedly released this afternoon two nearly-new tracks on SoundCloud and they were versions of his previous hits -- one coming from his "808s & Heartbreak" tracklist, "Say You Will", which he has revamped and collaborated with renowned singer-violinist Caroline Shaw while the other was titled "When I See It," a version of his co-produced track by Weeknd, "Tell Your Friends."
Although there are still no confirmation coming from the 38-year-old rapper whether the new songs were legitimate, it was reported that a representative from SoundCloud has verified the tracks' authenticity. The Verge meanwhile reports that West's collaborator Travis Scott posted the link on his Instagram account and said "It starts Soundcloud/kanyewest"
"Say You Will." featuring the Pulitzer prize-winning Shaw, is the song he had reprised after two nights of performing in the Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl in late September. During his performance, he sang the entire album accompanied with a string section.
Initially, West has been tapped for only one night, but by popular demand, he was extended to perform one more time. According to E! Online, the two-time performance might have given Yeezus the idea to freshen up his "Say You Will" track anew.
Meanwhile, "When I See It" West's revamp of Weeknd's "Tell Your Friends," is mainly an auto-tuned rendition of the originally dramatic and piano-ornamented track.
It was also reported that the tracks' artwork consisted of beautiful florals seemingly melting was a piece created by artist, photographer and frequent collaborator Nick Knight.
This has been the third time that West had surprise-released tracks according to E! Online. The first one was during on New Year's Day when the 21-time Grammy award-winning singer released his song "Only One." The second was during the 40th anniversary special of "Saturday Night Live" in February where he released "Wolves."
According to The Verge, the two newly dropped songs does not seem to be a part of his forthcoming album, "Swish". West has been very vocal that the "Yeezus" follow-up album is not yet seen to hit record bars any soon because of his very busy schedule as he focuses right now with his fashion line.
