The 2015-2016 NBA Season is about a week away and the annual NBA.com General Manager Survey results are in. 53.6 percent of general managers around the league have chosen the Cleveland Cavaliers as the favorites to win the NBA Championship at the end of the season with the rest opting for the San Antonio Spurs, defending champions Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

These general managers chose the Spurs to win it all last year, with only 3.8 percent being right as they chose the Warriors to become champions, per NBA.com. The Cavaliers' superstar forward LeBron James was voted as the MVP frontrunner with 39.3 percent and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans in second at 25 percent.

Davis was a clear choice on the best to start a franchise with a whopping 86.2 percent with Kevin Durant and James getting 6.9 percent each. These three players are arguably the top three best players in the world right now as reported by Sportsnet.

It's not all bad for the defending champions as they were voted the most fun team to watch and the best team with homecourt advantage. 2015 MVP Stephen Curry was voted the best point guard in the league, the best pure shooter, and the player you want taking a shot with the game on the line.

Reigning Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins is projected by most general managers to have a breakout season with the Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo in second and Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards at third. As for who will be the best rookie at the end of the year, Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers received the most votes followed by top overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Emmanuel Mudiay of the Denver Nuggets.

However, Towns gets the vote for being the best player in five years among the rookies with Mudiay and Okafor tied at second. The general managers chose Justise Winslow as the steal of the draft when he landed with the Miami Heat at 10th overall.

As for the best coach in the NBA, Greg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs received 93.1 percent of the votes. He was also picked as the best motivator of players and the coach that makes the best in-game adjustments.

The Spurs also received some props as the best team to make the best overall moves in the offseason. San Antonio signed all-star forward LaMarcus Aldridge to a four-year, $84 million deal, per Spotrac.

The new NBA season is set to start on Oct. 27 with three exciting games to watch out for. The Atlanta Hawks are set to face the Detroit Pistons with the Cleveland Cavaliers battling against the Chicago Bulls, and the New Orleans Pelicans visiting the defending champions Golden State Warriors, per ESPN.
