Former Miami Dolphins Coach Joe Philbin Saying Goodbye to Florida Home
Former Miami Dolphins Coach Joe Philbin is saying goodbye to his Florida home.
Philbin, Miami's team mentor three years ago, offers his Davie mansion on the market for nearly $2.5 million, Realtor.com announced.
The listing describes the expansive residence as an "impeccable celebrity style" property in an "exclusive gated community" in Florida. The 7,850-square-foot home can accommodate a large family and even some guests with its six bedrooms and seven full bathrooms, with all bedrooms on the second floor having their own balcony and bath.
Other living spaces included in the dwelling place are a wine room, a media room, a game room perfect for playing billiard with friends and a garage.
There is also a guest suite that has its own sitting room, a kitchenette and a full bath for family members or close friends to stay for some days.
Interior details displayed are custom-built cabinets, granite accents and top-of-the-line appliances.
The house was built in 2012, the same year he accepted the Dolphins' coaching position. It displays carefully maintained landscaped grounds. The yard is also highlighted with a swimming pool that has a vacation-inspired vibe. The pool is also equipped with a spa and a lounging area. Thus, a swimming party may be arranged in the 0.8-acre grounds, especially as it comes with an outdoor kitchen and a patio that are perfect amenities for such cool events.
Property hunters may inquire listing agent Deborah Khoury of EXIT Ryan Scott Realty for more details.
Philbin Fired
Philbin was fired right after the Dolphins got their third loss this 2015-2016 NFL season, The Guardian reported. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross parted with Philbin with a heavy heart.
"This was a tough decision for me to make knowing how tirelessly Joe worked in his four years here to make this a winning team. He is a man of the highest character and integrity that I developed a close personal relationship with," Ross said in a statement.
"I am extremely disappointed with how we have started the season, but I feel confident that we can improve quickly with the talent we have on our roster," the Dolphins' owner added.
The Dolphins won on their first week against the Washington Redskins but then received three consecutive losses against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets from week two to four, per the Dolphins' site.
The Dolphins won against the Tennessee Titans for their second victory this season under interim Coach Dan Campbell's guidance on Oct. 18, Sun Sentinel informed.
Before signing with Miami, he spent nine seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2003 to 2011 as an assistant coach, noted ESPN.
