Enrique Iglesias Loses Feeling in Finger After Drone Accident
Enrique Iglesias recently revealed that he lost feeling on one of his fingers due a drone accident during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico in May.
According to E! Online, the pop singer was performing for thousands of fans in Plaza de Toros de Playa during his Sex and Love world tour when the accident occurred. Iglesias reached out to grab a drone to give his fans a different point of view with its camera and sliced his fingers in the process.
In a statement, the singer's representative pointed out that the accident, while detrimental to his hand, didn't stop Iglesias.
"He was semi-treated by crew on the side of the stage to try and stop the bleeding," the rep said. "He was advised to stop the show. He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show."
Months after the accident, the singer revealed that he is doing much better and has recovered from the accident, TVyNovelas reported.
"I am okay, I have already heeled 100 percent. It was only a scare, thank God," Iglesias said. "I could have lost part of my finger, but I had a good doctor who helped me a lot and everything came out okay."
The "Bailando" singer also revealed that, while he lost any feeling from the tip of that finger, he is just grateful to still have the appendage.
Although the accident was painful and shocked many of the star's fans, something good may have come out of it.
While performing with a bloody hand, the singer drew a heart on his white shirt with his own blood. The singer's rep confirmed that there will be shirts designed after the heart Iglesias drew, and will they will be used for a special cause.
"We are doing something special with the clothing gear that is being. In a few days the news will be revealed," the rep added.
