Sausage links? Vomit art? Human-sized roasting spit? Sounds like your everyday Lady Gaga concert.

The pop idol brought her usual abstraction and over the top theatrics when she took to the Stubb's BBQ stage at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin Thursday night. The one-hour concert was sponsored by Doritos, who handed out free tickets to over 2,000 fans who performed challenges on social media for the chance to see the show.

Lady Gaga didn't disappoint. From the get-go she came out strong and strange as ever, hog-tied to a giant roasting spit and sporting white dreadlocks and a black bikini. She sang her first song "Aura" as dancers brush basted her like a gutted pig.

"I've been having such a good time all week. I haven't showered. I've been drinking all week. And eating," she announced to the crowd before jumping into her next song.

Things got messy as she began to pour beer and toss sausages all over herself and the audience. Then the singer donned an apron before inviting her friend Millie Brown to the stage. As Gaga pounded the drums for the song Swine, Brown swallowed a bottle of liquid and then proceeded to stick her hand down her throat and throw up green paint all over the pop star.

Later, after riding with her puking friend on a mechanical pig, Gaga got personal with a piano rendition of "Dope."

"It's so much easier to be yourself than it is to be somebody else," Gaga told her fans. "Because then you have to pretend to be someone else and like things that you don't like and do stuff that you don't want to do."

Lady Gaga is scheduled to give the SXSW keynote speech this Friday. She will be the first woman do so in 15 years. While nobody knows what Gaga is planning to say at the event, it's safe to say that people can expect the unexpected.
