Microsoft is getting ready for its first laptop launch with the Surface Book, adding a new entry-level model to the lineup. The low-end model will join the ultra-premium version of the device the company already unveiled.

The Microsoft Surface Book is currently available for pre-order, with a full release coming next week. Microsoft recently added a new, moderatly priced model to offer customers all of the same specifications as the base model, but with a better graphics card, Tech Radar reports.

The base model of the Surface Book comes with an Intel Core i5 processor, 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. There is an integrated graphics card inside offering basic graphics. This model comes with a $1,499 price tag.

For $200 more, the new version of the Surface Book has the same Core i5 processor, 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, but comes with a Nvidia graphics card.

For the same $1,699 price as the Surface Book upgraded with the better graphics card, users could also buy a version of the device with 256GB of storage. This means buyers have the choice between doubling up on storage or getting a better graphics card.

Laptop shoppers are already excitedly awaiting the release of the Surface Book. The device quickly sold out on the Microsoft website when it first became available for pre-order. The company has since added more inventory.

The Surface Book is available in several different models. The cheaper models include the Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Upgrading to the Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and more storage space will increase the price. The top-end model comes with a 1TB hard drive, but will cost $3,199.

According to Microsoft's website, pre-ordering a Surface Book this week will result in a shipping time of four to five weeks.
