U.S. Secretary of Defense John Kerry recently met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Thursday. While the two leaders were discussing the steps to end the Palestinian-Israeli violence, two Palestinians apparently stabbed an Israeli civilian.

Indeed, the violence between the two countries are continuously emerging since mid-September. Last Oct. 22, one of the Palestinian attacker died when he was shot by the police in Beit Shemesh. The two Palestinian attackers, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, were believed to be involved with a Palestinian Islamist movement called Hamas.

The two were wearing shirts with the emblem of the said military wing. They are then speculated to be involved with Hamas, which is reportedly one of the groups that are encouraging violence.

Netanhayu even boldly stated that Hamas is indeed the one causing the violence leaving many killed. "There is no question that this wave of attacks is driven directly by incitement, incitement from Hamas, incitement from the Islamist movement in Israel and incitement, I am sorry to say, from President (Mahmoud) Abbas and the Palestinian Authority," Netanyahu said as quoted by USA Today.  

Netanyahu apparently believes that Abbas has been spreading lies about the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third holiest shrine, alleging that Israel has been the leader of the conflict that started the violence. Ten Israelis are already dead from Palestinian attacks, with 48 Palestinians, including 27 labelled by Israel as attackers injured USA Today reports.

Meanwhile, Kerry urges to end the violence, saying per the Wall Street Journal, "It is absolutely critical to end all incitement and all violence and find a road forward to build a possibility, that is not there today, for a larger process."

"Today, we, you and I, can rekindle that process. We've been at this, we know each other well, I believe we have the ability to make a difference," he added.

However, despite the many efforts and plans to stop the violence, it is still ongoing with another incident involving the Israeli military shooting one Jewish man who was believed to be a "terrorist," USA Today reports.

Kerry is currently on a trip to Europe and the Middle East. He will also be meeting foreign ministers of Russia, Turkey and Saudi Arabia regarding the current conflict in Syria.
