'Looking Up' Singer Elton John Purchases Beverly Hills Estate for $33M
"Looking Up" singer Elton John purchases a posh home in Los Angeles with a big price tag.
John, a British composer and singer who is known for "Your Song" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," together with his husband David Furnish, buys a Beverly Hills estate for $33 million, Variety reported.
Although it is quite a hefty amount, the multiple Grammy winner actually saved a lot by acquiring the property this time rather than more than four years ago. Why? The report noted that the property was initially offered on the market for $63 million, which is almost double its final selling price.
Yet, the multi-million residence resting on an approximately 20-acre California land is truly a magnificent abode to own. The huge Los Angeles mansion, reportedly covering 24,260 square feet, displays 10 bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and 12 half bathrooms.
The three-story dwelling place also includes an impressive foyer, a formal living room, grand dining room, family room, chef's kitchen, residential office which can also serve as a study room or library, film viewing room, personal gym and wine cellar.
Notable interior details of the Beverly Hills house, as seen on the images featured on Variety provided by Hilton and Hyland real estate firm, are truly captivating. These features include a dramatic curving staircase with wrought iron design ready to welcome the guests, creatively designed hanging lights, hardwood flooring, recessed lighting, aesthetic wall decors, coffered ceilings and large windows.
The sprawling grounds are highlighted with a verdant lawn, flowering plants and a swimming pool with a nearby pool house. There is also a kitchen and pizza oven to complement a swimming party with friends. If they do not like to swim, they could opt to enjoy a tennis game or two on the lighted court with other guests.
A New Album in 2016
John announced that he will release his 33rd studio album, "Wonderful Crazy Night" in February next year, Entertainment Weekly informed.
However, one of its singles, "Looking Up," is already released.
His co-producer T Bone Burnett described what to expect in the album on Billboard after he announced that it was actually done by that time.
"We just finished a new Elton record that's beautiful. It's a very upbeat rock 'n' roll record. The last album was a particular group of very personal material; this is broadcasting. That one was a parlor record; this is a festival," Burnett said.
Basing on the positive lyrics and upbeat vibe of "Looking Up" on Genius and its sound, oher songs in his album may also have the same aesthetic.
