Netflix News: Aziz Ansari Debuts Hilarious New Trailer For ‘Master of None’ TV Series [Watch]
Hollywood funny man and seasoned comedy actor Aziz Ansari has debuted a new trailer for his upcoming comedy series "Master of None," which will be premiering on Netflix next month.
According to Deadline, the show is expected to be loosely modeled after his own life and the comical situations he gets into, which play into modern American issues like racial tensions, the plight of the elderly and even children. But at the forefront of his comedy is the big question that most young people go through at that age -- what they want to do with their lives.
The series follows Dev (Ansari) as he navigates his way through life in what appears to be a "one day at a time" theme where he meets all situations head on and does not have any clear plan for how to handle things. That means all situations he encounters as well as his life plans.
The hilarious trailer starts off with the character in the heat of passionate sex with his partner when his contraception breaks in the middle of the event. The two then make their way down to a pharmacy to pick up a pill to prevent a possible pregnancy, which he comically offers to pay for instead of his lady friend.
He then makes his way around the city and encounters different situations that in some way seem to inspire him to want a family. He sees himself as a dad, an uncle or even an advocate for children in some cases.
He also goes home with his girlfriend to meet her grandmother, who comically turns the racial stereotypes associated with elderly white people back on to him for even mentioning it to her.
The show was created by Ansari and Alan Yang. It will debut on Netflix for ten episodes of binge streaming next month on Nov. 6.
