"The Daily Show" fans never really took Jon Stewart seriously when he said he was going to retire and live on a farm. But now that he has granted an interview from his New Jersey residence, fans might be a little shocked.

CBS This Morning got a chance to interview the legendary satirist from his new abode in New Jersey, which turned out to be just what he said it would be - a farm.

Although the interview was supposed to be for his wife, Tracey Stewart, in regards to her new book coming out, CBS took advantage of the situation to gather a few comments from Jon himself about life after "The Daily Show."

What is immediately evident from the video is that Stewart does not just live on a farm, but he actively works his farm. They stood beside a wooden fence that did not have any livestock behind it, but it did appear to be a functional mass of land for grazing.

CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King asked Stewart if he missed being on the show, but Stewart mostly sidestepped it with his general comedic response.

"I miss the people that I worked with, because, you know -- and so we email," Stewart told King. "And we bitmoji back and forth."

But what she really wanted to know was if Stewart was at the point in his retirement where he would maybe like to mount a comeback, which he quickly said no.

"Because I feel like I completed it. It's when you feel like you complete a project to the best of your ability. When you've done the best that you think you're able to do. ... So I can't regret. All I can do now is be happy that I had that opportunity," Stewart said. "The joy is in creating it, in growing it, in evolving it. Maintaining it is the part that when it becomes rote or redundant, then you feel like, 'Well, I'm not really adding a lot of value to this anymore, am I?'"

He did add that he is happy with his retirement and is more active with his kids, taking them to school in the mornings and doing other various things he likes to do with his family.

Tracey weighed in and said that her husband is not just a funny man on TV, but he is also very comical at home with their family.
