Back in 1999, O'Hara summed up the source of all her motivation in an Associated Press interview.

O'Hara will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery, in Washington, D.C., alongside her husband, a U.S. Navy pilot. As a tribute family members are asking fans to "visit Ireland one day and think of her."
