‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6, Episode 3 Recap and Spoilers: Shocking Major Event Happened, Or Did It? [Watch]
Fans of "The Walking Dead" took to social media last night and lit it up with major spoilers -- which also made many others very angry. The fact that the show does not air on the west coast until two hours after the east coast airings means it was a slaughter fest of one of the most shocking moments on the show since that scene in Season 4 with Herschel.
For those who have not watched Episode 3 yet and do not want a major scene spoiled for them, stop reading now.
According to Variety, the episode started off much in the way fans have come to expect. The group was still out trying to lead the Walker herd away from Alexandria, and it came down to them having to split up and cover more ground.
But the Walkers were able to corner Glen and Nicholas in by herding around the dumpster they were trapped on top of. At this point, fans had already loved to hate Nicholas for what he did to Glen last season. So seeing him essentially give up by shooting himself in the head was no real loss. But after that shot, he seemed to be able to finally succeed at something in death he was unable to accomplish in real life: killing Glen.
Nicholas fell to his death with Glen underneath him, straight into the Walker herd. The scene was painful to watch for most of the series because, from the camera angle, it seemed as though Glen were being ripped apart.
Although there is a better than good chance he really was killed, there is still some hope he lived because Nicholas was on top of him at the time the guts and intestines were being ripped from above him. There was also a dumpster right beside them where they lay, so Glen could have crawled to safety underneath it while the herd was distracted with Nicholas.
Glen was also not on "The Talking Dead" after the show for his post-mortem, which could also indicate he is still alive. But again, there is still a slim chance of that being true.
