‘Spectre' Star Christoph Waltz Mocks 'Good Morning Britain' Interviewer Charlotte Hawkins Live On TV
Christoph Waltz didn't seem so interested with his interview on "Good Morning Britain" on Monday after he sarcastically replied to the questions being thrown his way. The actor reportedly mocked interviewer Charlotte Hawkins.
Waltz, who plays villain Franz Oberhauser in "Spectre," was asked to share some details about his role in the film. However, according to Mirror UK, Hawkins seemed to have insulted the actor when she asked if he reconsidered taking on the role of the villain character considering what he has achieved as an actor for being a double Oscar winner.
"Was there any part of you that thought, 'Hold on I'm a double Oscar winner -- should I be doing [Spectre]?' Did you hesitate at all?" Hawkins asked the actor.
His response supposedly hinted that he was not impressed with the question when he mocked Hawkins and sarcastically replied, "Yeah I always do that. I always apply that precious measure." Then he pretended to ask himself the same question thrown by Hawkins and said as he stared at the ground, "I am a double Oscar winner and even when I came in here, I thought, 'Hang on, do I need to do that? I am a double Oscar winner!"
At the onset of the interview the actor reportedly already looked bored. Either he was not a fan of the interviewer or he just had a really tiring day. So Hawkins was left to just nervously laugh off Waltz's response as the actor continued to give a serious answer this time.
"Um... No. It's a part and the way they welcome you as a family member, that more or less defines everything that happened," Waltz told Hawkins during his interview.
Waltz already had his share of awkward interviews before. Australian comedian Joel Creasey had once criticized the actor for being rude during his interview with him about "Horrible Bosses 2." Creasey, host of "Just For Laughs," recalled his interview with the "Spectre" star during a guest appearance on Studio 10.
In the video below, Creasey mentioned how he and Waltz have a "celebrity feud" going on. When asked by the show hosts to expound on his statement, the comedian recalled an incident where he was constantly shut down by the actor during his interview about "Horrible Bosses 2." The question and answer portion reportedly didn't go too well since Creasey said Waltz was being too condescending all throughout the interview.
