The Voice' Coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Perform Awkward Version of Drake's 'Hotline Bling'
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton showcased their showmanship when they performed for the audiences on Monday's episode of "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." The pair decided to perform their own version of Drake's "Hotline Bling," which for the country singer seemed a little awkward to sing.
Stefani and Shelton took to the stage to join Fallon on his "Spin the Microphone" game to do a duet of "Hotline Bling." In the video below Stefani, dressed in a black cut-out dress, is heard doing a great job singing Drake's lines. However, the rapping part may have seemed a little difficult for the country singer to do. So instead of singing he ended up saying "Bling" repeatedly in between Stefani's solo. After their duet, the show host Jimmy Fallon is seen jokingly mocking Shelton's performance.

Stefani and Shelton were joined by their fellow "The Voice" coaches Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams on the show. According to Us Weekly, Levin performed first singing a classic Britney Spears' hit song "Oops... I Did It Again." Williams and Fallon paired up to perform "It Takes Two." Shelton reportedly did a great job at singing "Y.M.C.A." compared to his duet with Stefani. According to Us Weekly, Stefani was prompted to yell "cowboy" at the end of "Hotline Bling" because of Shelton's lack of participation or interest on the duet.
This is not the first time Stefani had called Shelton a "cowboy." She once referred the nickname to the singer during an interview with Entertainment Online. In the interview, the 46-year-old was asked to comment on those dating rumors linking her with the 39-year-old country singer since her divorce from Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.
Stefani only laughed out the romance speculations and jokingly asked, "Have you read the news?" She added that perhaps people thought she and Shelton were in a romantic relationship because of how close they are on the set of "The Voice." But the singer slammed the rumors saying everyone on the show are really close with each other.
"It seems like the cowboy is really happy on the show. We're all having so much fun on that show. Everybody is in such a good place," she said.
Shelton had previously also denied rumors that he has since moved on with another woman following his divorce from Miranda Lambert. He took to his Twitter to silence the speculations.
