Smite Reveals a New Game Mode That Can Be Played Instantly
"SMITE" is introducing a new game mode and called Clash.
According to "SMITE's" website, the new mode will be available on the PTS for a very limited time. The SMITE team also revealed that while the Clash mode is already available, it will not be included to the upcoming patches of the game. Instead, it will be introduced later after all the necessary development has been made. Tagged as a 5v5 Casual Game Mode, Clash will concentrate on team fights that play along the "lane pushing mechanics."
The two lanes seen on Clash mode consist of several phoenixes, towers and titans. Each will meet in between and conquer each other in order to take on the lead. The primary goal of Clash is to introduce the players to the two significant premiere game modes of "SMITE:" Arena and Conquest.
The Arena mode will enable players to fight openly with the main goal of defeating the enemy. The Conquest mode, on the other hand, requires style, tactics and objectives in order to finish the challenge. The Clash mode basically gives the players some experience on the upcoming game's concept while allowing them to still commit errors along the way.
To be able to play the Clash mode of "SMITE," a link will be given to participants where they will need to log in and queue up on the PTS. It is also important to know that anything you have won or accumulated on the Clash mode will not be carried out to the real game. Some limitations of the Clash mode are carefully listed on the Smite Forum. By following these limitations, you will find yourself playing smoothly and avoid the confusion of carrying out your scores once the game is finally released.
They also warned participants that the queue is only available for the practice version. The practice version was tagged in order to accommodate fewer participants because of limited server as well as the expectation of less participants for the game.
Rewards will not be carried out to the main game, including Favor, XP and Worshippers. It is also worth noting that players can spend and buy gems but they cannot use them on the practice version. The gems that they bought will be carried to their live accounts and can be use on the regular "SMITE" game.
