Rick Ross revealed his advice to Meek Mill at the height of the latter's feud with Drake was simply "do what you wanna do."

In a recent MTV interview, the Maybach Music Group headman added he was intent on taking a more "laid back approach" to the conflict, which Mill ignited by ranting on Twitter about how the "Started From The Bottom" artist uses a ghostwriter for much of his material.

Ross said he is committed to letting the two hip-hop heavyweights "hash things out" for themselves. By contrast, Ross was recently quick to step in to help squash the simmering beef between Mill and fellow MMG rapper Wale.

Still, Ross admitted he can relate to Meek, given his own ongoing feud with 50 Cent, with whom he first started beefing in 2009.

"A lot of people have a lot of their own opinions," Ross said. "But I've been in certain positions where people told me not to do that and I would do it again, if I had to. To me, that's what the art is about. I feel like whatever it is you gonna do, if your heart is into it, that's what you gotta do. That goes for whatever it is."

It's been months since either Mill or Drake went at one another in verse, though rumors are circulating Mill is planning to drop another song after a video surfaced of him rapping over Drake's diss song "Back to Back."

Word is Drake has also recorded another diss track called "3 Peat," but has yet to release it.

Apparently, Ross isn't alone in his thinking that feuds between artists is simply part of the hip-hop genre. Just days ago, songwriter Erykah Badu told Noisey that she "loved" the beef between the two rappers.

"That's what hip-hop is about to me," she said. "I like that. That's the way we're supposed to handle it. I encourage it."
