In the next new Season 13 episode of "NCIS," the doctor that saved Agent Leroy Gibbs' life and the woman who once broke Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo's heart return for special guest appearances.

CarterMatt reports in the Nov. 10-aired "Saviors"-entitled episode, Scottie Thompson returns as Jeanne Benoit, a woman DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) shares "a more-than-complicated relationship with thanks in part to her father," and "his sense of honesty towards her."

With all they've been through together, the question now is if the two can put the past behind them and manage to build some sort of relationship given how both have moved on, with her now even married.

The two are brought face-to-face when a band of Sudan insurgents attack a team of volunteer doctors, one of which proves to be her new husband. DiNozzo and McGee (Sean Murray) are both on hand to aid in joint kidnapping and murder probes.

The episode also marks the return of Dr. Cyril Taft (Jon Cryer), the emergency room doctor who saved Gibbs' life after he suffered several gunshot wounds at the hands of a young terrorist he had befriended at the end of last season. He last appeared on the show during this season's premiere.

Meanwhile, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) has continued to struggle with coming to grips with his life-changing experience, which has caused crew members to see a whole different side of him thus far this season.

It is speculated that the upcoming special guest appearances could be part of the producer's plans to celebrate the long-running show's upcoming 300th episode.

The CBS-aired series also stars Emily Wickersham as Ellie Bishop, Brian Dietzen as Jimmy Palmer, David McCallum as Dr. Mallard, Pauley Perrette as Abby Scuito and Rocky Carroll as Leon Vance.
