Neil Patrick Harris & Family Are Seriously Winning the Halloween Family Costume Game: See Pictures Over The Years
When it comes to Halloween costumes, expect that Neil Patrick Harris and family will always be "Legen-wait for it-dary!"
The "How I Met Your Mother" star and his husband, chef and actor David Burtka, nailed the dress up day along with their adorable twins, five-year-olds Gideon Scott and Harper Grace. For this year's spooky day, the family dressed up to be "Star Wars" characters and, as per usual, the Burtka-Harris squad took the cake.
In a photo posted by Harris as reported by Entertainment Weekly, the family posed in-character and the kids looked entirely charming. Harper dressed up like Princess Leia, flaunting the character's famous double side buns, while her fraternal twin brother channeled Luke Skywalker as he geared with his lightsaber. The proud parents, meanwhile, played to be Han Solo and Obi Wan Kenobi.
For years in a row since the Burtka-Harris twins were adopted, the family had always had the throne when it comes to nailing Halloween family costumes. See pictures of the family over the years:
Last year, the family dressed up in Gotham-themed costume. Opting for some DC Comics play, Halloween for the Burtka-Harris clan has been an action-packed day as the parents portrayed the villains while the kids played as the superheroes. Then four-year-olds Gideon and Harper dressed up to be Batman and his sidekick, Robin while the Harris and Burtka donned the devilish attires of the Riddler and Joker.
In 2013, the family opted for some Disney role play and decided to put on "Alice and Wonderland" inspired costumes for a Halloween carnival. The parents then played to be the twins, Tweedledee and Tweedledum while Harper went to be Alice and Gideon played to be the White Rabbit.
According to People, just before this Halloween, the twins were also up for some fun without their parents doing some role play as they attended a Halloween concert. Burtka showed off his twins who dressed up like Queen of Mermaids and Captin Color Pants.
