The famed comedienne host Jimmy Fallon from NBC's hit show, "The Tonight Show," has been stirring the rumor mill regarding his excessive drinking that, apparently, caused three accidents in four months. Reports claim that Fallon's drinking issue has been a talk around the television network.

The New York Post reported that Fallon's drinking issue has been the center of controversy in the television network, although there are still no incidents connecting his drinking from his actual job as a host in the show.

"It's gone from being a whisper to a chatter," an industry insider told the publication of Fallon's drinking problem. Furthermore, a source from the New York Post claimed that NBC has been worried that Fallon's drinking has become excessive.

Although there are no official statements from the network requesting any form of penance or restriction, Fallon's drinking, however, has been causing a lot of talks within the company and outside as well.

The New York post reports that Fallon's recent accidents prove that his drinking is getting excessive. Just last Oct. 24, Fallon cut his finger while opening a bottle of Jagermeister during for his acceptance for the Harvard Lampoon's Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor.

Not only that, the Toronto Sun reports that back in June, the host had to cancel a taping as he broke a finger after tripping at home. Apparently, Fallon had to undergo surgery and stay in the ICU for 10 days.

Then in August, Fallon again accidentally chipped his tooth after trying to open a tube of scar tissue repair gel for his injured finger.

Apparently, Fallon's partying and drinking have been known through the years. A Manhattan bartender, who reportedly served Fallon for years, said that "he's a mess" and that all stories about Fallon are true, the New York Post reports.

Not only that, Vulture previously reported back in 2014 that drinking has been part of the 41-year-old host's life. "Everyone in New York has a Jimmy Fallon story," Seth Herzog, Fallon's friend from "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) said regarding Fallon as the life of a party.

"We were super-functioning alcoholics, definitely," Horatio Sanz of SNL said on Fallon's drinking. "They say that kind of goes hand in hand with SNL, some kind of substance-abuse issues, because it's so stressful you easily find yourself blowing off steam a lot," Sanz continued.

Meanwhile, NBC recently spoke through a statement saying how Fallon is of great importance in the company. "Jimmy Fallon is a highly valued member of the NBC family who is both a tireless worker and an extraordinarily gifted performer," NBC said as quoted by the New York Post.
