'By The Sea' Trailer Released, Watch New Teaser Here [Video]
One of the most anticipated films this year, "By The Sea," hits theaters this month. It stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt playing a sorrowful married couple on vacation in France. As the film comes to the big screen, a new trailer has now been released.
In the trailer, viewers will see the film's star and real-life couple, Jolie and Pitt, go on a dramatic journey. The opens with a very serene star reminiscent of a 1970's set film. It shows the married couple on a peaceful vacation, although with some deeply rooted issues.
The trailer then shifts to a violent scene, where Jolie and Pitt's characters are seen physically and emotionally harming each other. According to the trailer, "By the Sea" will be released on Nov. 13, 2015 in the U.S.
Meanwhile, as the video seemingly mirrors what some married couples go through at some point in their relationship, writer/producer/director Jolie reminds fans that her marriage with co-star and husband Pitt is totally different from what they will be portraying in the film.
"I'm counting on the audience to know that if it was close to us all, we could never make this film," Jolie said during her joint interview with husband Pitt in the "Today Show." "It's because we're actually very, very stable and these aren't our issues," she added.
In the interview, Jolie also reveals that her inspiration in making the film roots back during the death of her mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, in 2007.
"We can't say what the whole film is about, but a lot of the film was when I went to visit my mom in the hospital, when she found out she had cancer the first time, she was gonna have her ovaries removed, (and) she was very upset, feeling like...they're taking out her parts that were female, and there was a woman down the hall who was wailing. I later found out it was a young woman who had not had children yet, and that put everything into perspective," Jolie said.
In March 2015, Jolie also underwent surgery and her husband Pitt was there supporting her all throughout. "I was out in France, and Angie called me and I got straight on a plane to return,'' Pitt said on the show. "Seeing my wife have to be her strongest and knowing that it's the scariest news is terribly moving. And not being there is a horrible feeling."
Meanwhile, "By the Sea" centers on the life of an American writer (Pitt) and his wife (Jolie) and their journey towards fixing their marriage. It also stars Melanie Laurent, Niels Arestrup, Melvil Poupaud and Richard Bohringer, Khaleej Times reports.
