‘X-Factor UK' Judge Rita Ora Publicly Professes Her Love for Nick Grimshaw
Rita Ora is clearly happy to appear alongside her friend Nick Grimshaw on her first ever live show on the "X-Factor UK."
The singer took to her Instagram page to express how she loved the moment she appeared on stage with the radio DJ.
Rita shared a screen grab taken from the live show showing her and Nick holding hands on her Instagram page. She captioned the shot, "When your love is on tv with you." On the same image, she also professed her love for the Radio 1 DJ and vowed they will be together forever.
"Together always. I love you @nicholasgrimshaw congrats on our first live show. So proud of all the categories," Rita added.
The singer's declaration of love prompted other Instagram users to suspect that they could be a couple. One user named jentome_@_ekamweti mentioned that Rita and Nick "were kissing on their snapchat." Another user named sooopermon asked whether they are dating despite their age gap, Rita at 24 and Nick at 31. However, the DJ is believed to be gay and Rita is rumored to be dating Travis Barker, the former drummer of Blink 182.
Nick, on the other hand, responded to Rita's sweet message by posting a video of the singer on his Instagram. The short clip shows Rita, dressed in pyjamas with a banana hat, dancing to Justin Bieber's song "Where Are You Now." Nick captioned the video, "Bieber Banana" and tagged Rita and Justin.
This is not the first time though that Rita has spoken up for Nick. She had previously defended her fellow "X-Factor UK" judge from Louis Walsh. The former judge spoke up against Nick's capabilities as a judge during a previous interview with the Daily Star. While Walsh expressed his confidence on Rita's judging skills, he was uncertain on Nick's.
"I'm not sure about Grimshaw. I haven't seen much of him," Walsh said.
Rita defended 31-year-old Nick and mentioned that Walsh is probably just "a little bit burnt" that he is no longer on the show. She also described Nick to have "great taste and great ears" for music.
"He may not be able to physically stand on stage and sing a song, but you don't need to. He's one of the important hands that plays the songs that you guys get introduced to on the radio. You don't understand as an artist how important that is," she said.
