Eva Longoria's 'Telenovela' and America Ferrera's 'Superstore' Sneak Peek During 'The Voice'
NBC will do a sneak preview "Telenovela" and "Superstore."
The network is ringing in the New Year with two high profile comedies on Jan. 4, 2016. However, before the shows' respective premieres audiences will get a sneak peek and will get to see what they are all about.
The first sneak peek will happen on Monday, Nov. 30 as NBC will preview the workplace comedy "Superstore," starring Emmy winner America Ferrera. The preview will happen after the two-hour telecast of NBC's Emmy Award-winning musical competition "The Voice."
Then on Dec. 7, NBC will preview the behind-the-scenes comedy "Telenovela," featuring Eva Longoria as the star of a hit Spanish soap opera.
"We're extremely excited about 'Superstore' and are so fortunate to have the incredibly talented America Ferrera, who won over the hearts of viewers and critics in 'Ugly Betty,' coming to NBC as a producer and star. She's joined by a terrific ensemble in a comedy set in a location everyone in the country can really relate to," Jennifer Salke, president, NBC Entertainment said in press release.
"We're also very fortunate to have a show like 'The Voice' to use as a lead-in that will expose these previews to millions of people, not to mention promotion in all of our highly rated holiday specials such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Thanksgiving night NFL game and, of course, 'The Wiz Live!'"
Eva Longoria has been a pioneer of Latino content throughout the years as she has produced a number of TV shows and movies. She has recently been seen in "Frontera," "Crazy Kind of Love," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Any Day."
Meanwhile, America Ferrera is best known for her work on "Ugly Betty" as well as "How Train Your Dragon 1 and 2." She is a Golden Globe winning actress who won for the first season of "Ugly Betty" and has also won Emmy award as well as ALMA awards.
Both series are expected to make their debut on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, with "Superstore" premiering at 8 p.m. and "Telenovela" at 8:30 p.m.
