Three years after her music reprieve, it's easy to say that Adele's comeback to the business is something that is definitely worth it.

Entertainment Weekly reports that from the moment Adele released the first single, its music video has overcome Taylor Swift's record-breaking single-day views for her "Bad Blood" music video.

But that's not where the success saga of Adele's single ends.

"Hello," one of her tracks in the new "25" album, became a huge success as it earned earn over a million downloads in just a week.

According to Forbes, "Hello" has earned the biggest sales in just a span of seven weeks and it joins the record that Elton John holds for his song "Candle in the Wind" released 18 years ago. John's song in 1997 was then the only song that has sold more than a million copies in just a week, and currently, Adele's "Hello" is here to join "Candle in the Wind's" recognition.

"Candle in the Wind," John's tribute to the late Princess Diana, has sold over 3.4 million copies in its maiden week and eventually earned another million more in the following seven days. And as for Adele's comeback single, in the first week of its release, it has already racked up 1.1 million copies. It also doubled the largest single sales week of all time, Flo Rida's 2009 hit, "Right Round," which had only around 600,000 sales in seven days.

What's more remarkable about the hit's sale is that "Hello" has smashed the record during this time when people no longer opt for buying music, as everyone is used to streaming and downloading them for free.

"It is very likely that we have just seen a record be broken that will never be broken again," the Forbes report further says.

When the single was dropped, other songs had little defense on the British crooner's single as it immediately rose on being no. 1.

A week prior to Adele's release of her newest single, Drake was vying for the top spot when he released "Hotline Bling." He could have gotten no.1 if not for Adele's reentrance in the music chart list. Business Insider reports that apart from the fact that "Hotline Bling" was released on Apple Music instead of through YouTube, Adele's single has been a threat for the "Nothing On You" rapper.

Debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 as it was released on Oct. 23, "Hello" is Adele's fourth song to have hit the chart's top spot. The British singer's "25" album will be released on Nov. 20.
