Theo James stars in the new fantasy film "Divergent" and while he's had a few films and television stints, there's not that much people know about the up and coming young star.

US Magazine writes that James, 29-year-old, stars as Tobias "Four" Eaton in the film adaptation of Veronica Roth's best-selling young adult fiction novel. In the film, he will star opposite Shailene Woodley playing "Tris" and set to go head-to-head with Kate Winslet's character Jeanine Matthews.

1.    In case fans out there don't know, James is not American. Born as Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis, James is as British as it gets.

2.    Theo, as he is fondly called, hails from a large family and is the youngest sibling of 5. As the baby of the brood, he's got two older brothers and 2 older sisters, and from what reports say, he's on good terms and close to his entire family.

3.    Education is a priority to the "Downtown Abbey" actor and has a degree in philosophy from England's University of Nottingham to prove it. Unlike other actors and actresses, James decided to finish his degree and waited until his 20s to before pursuing his acting career.

People writes that James has recently told Variety "It might have worked for others, but I was not mature enough to [start young]. I needed to be a bit more grounded and to have more to draw from. It was the right decision for me."

James has also had formal training to develop his craft and attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School writes Perezhilton.

4.    James is all for strong and empowered women. According to SheKnows, admires strong women and female super-heroines like Katniss of "The Hunger Games" and Tris of "Divergent".
